Terms and Conditions

Welcome to mTickets. By browsing this site or buying a ticket through it, you agree to the terms below. Please read them before checking out.

1. What mTickets is

mTickets is a ticketing platform: event organizers list their events here and sell tickets through us. For any given event, the organizer named on the event page is the seller of record — mTickets processes the order and delivers the ticket on their behalf.

2. Your account

• The name, email and phone number you provide at checkout must be accurate — your ticket and receipt are sent to them.
• You're responsible for keeping access to that email and phone number, since that's how your ticket is delivered and verified.

3. Buying a ticket

• An order is only confirmed once payment clears and you receive your ticket by email (and SMS, where available).
• Prices shown include any listed fees; taxes, where applicable, are included in the displayed price.
• Ticket availability isn't guaranteed until payment is confirmed — a ticket type can sell out between page load and checkout.

4. Refunds and changes

• Tickets are generally non-refundable and non-transferable once issued, except where the event itself is cancelled, materially rescheduled, or a genuine payment/technical error occurred on our end.
• If you believe you're owed a refund under those conditions, contact the organizer or mTickets support within 7 days of the event or the issue arising.

5. Payments

We accept M-Pesa and major debit/credit cards via our payment partners. Your payment details are handled directly by those providers — mTickets does not store your card number or M-Pesa PIN. We're not responsible for charges your bank or mobile network applies on their end.

6. At the event

Your ticket's QR code is your entry pass — keep it accessible on the day. Organizers set their own entry rules (ID checks, age limits, bag policies); those are the organizer's responsibility, not ours.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use mTickets to resell tickets in a way that breaches an organizer's resale policy, to commit fraud, or to interfere with the platform's normal operation. We may suspend accounts or cancel orders that violate this.

8. Liability

mTickets isn't liable for how an event is run — that sits with the organizer. Our responsibility is limited to processing your order and delivering a valid ticket correctly; where something on our side genuinely goes wrong, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; continuing to use mTickets after a change means you accept the update.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
